There are enough clothes. In fact, there are too many. We see it again and again at the clothing swap we organise at Kranj City Library.
For me, textile reuse is a space for play and exploration. For colour, cuts, the feel of materials and new combinations. At the same time, it is a simple way to extend the life of things that already exist.
A garment can take on a new shape. A new role. A new body.
Another life.
Or at least one more dance.

From forgotten to one-of-a-kind
As part of MAKE-A-THEK, from May 2026 to April 2027 we opened a space at Kranj City Library for exchanging and transforming clothes. Once a month, you can turn your wardrobe upside down, bring pieces you no longer wear, swap them and give them an upgrade at a hands-on Clothing RE-creation workshop.
TANGO UP-cycle
Because every garment has at least one more dance in it!
TANGO UP-cycle is an initiative for the tango community that encourages swapping and transforming clothes for dancing. Clothes matter in tango — and that is exactly why we want to keep them circulating and celebrate their uniqueness.
